Conferința Națională ABR, ”Biblioteca-de la tradițional la Inteligenta Artificială”/ National Conference of Librarians Association from Romania, 2024, Library-from traditional to AI

 

În perioada 3-6 septembrie 2024, Asociatia Bibliotecarilor din România (ABR) în

colaborare cu Biblioteca Universitătii ”Lucian Blaga” din Sibiu si alti parteneri a organizat

cea de-a XXXIV-a editie a Conferintei Nationale a ABR, cu titlul ”Biblioteca-de la traditional

la Inteligenta Artificială”.

Deschiderea oficială a avut loc în 4 septembrie, fiind precedată în 3 septembrie de

evenimentul satelit organizat de sponsorul principal Softlink de la Cluj, la care au fost

prezentate solutii tehnice si echipamente de ultimă generatie pentru toate tipurile de biblioteci.

Din partea Filialei Alba a ABR au participat doamnele: Barb Gianina, bibliotecar la

Scoala Gimnazială ”Vasile Goldis ” din Alba Iulia si Barb Mirela, bibliotecar la Colegiul

National ”Lucian Blaga” din Sebes.

Ce a adus nou această conferintă a fost numărul mare de participanti străini care, în

prezentările lor au vorbit despre implementarea  si gestionarea IA în cadrul bibliotecilor.

Primul cuvânt de salut în cadrul deschiderii festive i-a apartinut doamnei Dr. Carmen-

Leocadia Pesantez Pozo, presedinte ABR , Biblioteca Centrală Universitară ”Carol I”

Bucuresti. Au urmat cuvinte de salut din partea reprezentantilor oficiali. O prezentă inedită a

fost cea a doamnei Loida Garcia-Febo, membru în Consiliul de Conducere IFLA

(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions = Federatia Internatională a

Asociatiilor s i Institutiilor Bibliotecare). Este o bibliotecară americană de origine portoricană

si consultant international în biblioteci, expert în servicii de bibliotecă pentru populatii diverse

si drepturile omului. A pledat pentru biblioteci la Natiunile Unite, Parlamentul Uniunii

Europene, Congresul SUA, Senatul Statului New York, Primăria New York si în spatii

deschise în alte state. O altă invitată a fost doamna Claudia Victoria Nicolae, Director General

al Agentiei Nationale de Presă AGERPRES care a prezentat lucrarea ” De la hârtie la

algoritmi: Păstrătorii cunoasterii - jurnalismul si bibliotecile - în Era Inteligentei Artificiale.

Provocări si oportunită comune”. Dânsa a concluzionat că trebuie să existe o ”colaborare

între jurnalism si biblioteci în era digitală”, ambele având misiunea de ”informare publică”.

Ziua de 5 septembrie a fost dedicată reuniunilor pe sectiuni si diviziuni din cadrul

ABR. Din septembrie 2023, cele două doamne care reprezintă judetul Alba în ABR se află la

conducerea Sectiunii ”Tehnici pedagogice în biblioteca colară si CDI” din cadrul Diviziunii

”Biblioteci scolare”. La această conferintă au prezentat lucrările: ”Tehnologii moderne în

activitatea clubului de teatru din biblioteca scolii – Barb Gianina (presedinte al sectiunii);

”Biblioteca scolară si vârstele lecturii” – Barb Mirela (secretar al sectiunii); Ambele lucrăriș 

contin vlogg-uri si booktrailere, scurte videoclipuri în care se povesteste o carte sau despre o

carte, fiind create cu programe care contin IA. La sectiune au mai fost prezentate alte două

lucrări cu domeniu de interes în biblioteca scolară.

În cea de-a patra zi, bibliotecarii au participat la o excursie documentară în judetul

Sibiu, la Cârta, unde au vizitat: Podul plutitor "Corabia", Podul suspendat "Pasarela", Mănăstirea Cisterciană si au luat masa de prânz la un restaurant local.

Pe parcursul conferintei, am fost invitati să participăm la o experientă unică de

fotografie într-un studio recreat cu grijă pentru a aduce la viată atmosfera specifică anilor

1960. Aceasta este reconstituirea partială a studioului foto al renumitului fotograf sălistean

Emil Mosoiu.

De asemenea, pe durata conferintei, am fost invitati să participăm la un curs de

caligrafie sustinut de doamna bibliotecar Daniela Comsea. Acest curs ne-a dat ocazia de a

descoperi si exersa arta scrisului frumos într-un mediu relaxat si inspirator.

Participarea specialistilor la aceste conferinte pune în evidentă realizările profesiei si

evolutia în domeniu, fiind benefice pentru fiecare participant în vederea perfectionării

profesionale.

Between September 3-6, 2024, the Romanian Librarians' Association (ABR) in
collaboration with the "Lucian Blaga" University Library from Sibiu and other partners organized
the XXXIVth edition of the National Conference of ABR, with the title "Library-from traditional
to Artificial Intelligence".
The official opening took place on September 3, being preceded on September 2 by
the satellite event organized by the main sponsor Softlink from Cluj, which they attended
presented technical solutions and state-of-the-art equipment for all types of libraries.
On behalf of the Alba Branch of ABR, the ladies participated: Barb Gianina, librarian at
"Vasile Goldi" Secondary School from Alba Iulia and Barb Mirela, librarian at the College
National "Lucian Blaga" from Sebes. What brought this conference new was the large number of foreign participants who, in
their presentations talked about the implementation and management of AI in libraries.
The first word of greeting during the festive opening belonged to Mrs. Dr. Carmen-
Leocadia Pesantez Pozo, president of ABR, "Carol I" Central University Library
Bucharest. This was followed by words of greeting from the official representatives. A unique present
formerly that of Mrs. Loida Garcia-Febo, member of the IFLA Board of Directors
(International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions = International Federation of
Associations and Library Institutions). She is an American librarian of Puerto Rican descent
and international library consultant, expert in library services for diverse populations
and human rights. Advocated for libraries at the United Nations, Union Parliament
European Union, the US Congress, the New York State Senate, the New York City Hall and in the spaces
open in other states. Another guest was Mrs. Claudia Victoria Nicolae, Director General
of the National Press Agency AGERPRES which presented the work "From paper to
algorithms: Keepers of knowledge - journalism and libraries - in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.
Common challenges and opportunities". She concluded that there must be a "collaboration
between journalism and libraries in the digital age", both having the mission of "public information".
The day of September 5 was dedicated to meetings on sections and divisions within the framework
ABR. From September 2023, the two ladies representing Alba county in ABR are located at
the management of the Section "Pedagogical techniques in the school library and CDI" within the Division
"School libraries". At this conference they presented the works: "Modern technologies in
the activity of the theater club in the school library - Barb Gianina (president of the section);
"School library and reading ages" - Barb Mirela (secretary of the section); Both works 
they contain vlogs and book trailers, short videos in which a book is told or about it
book, being created with programs that contain AI. Two more were presented at the section
works with a field of interest in the school library. On the fourth day, the librarians participated in a documentary trip to the county
Sibiu, at Cârta, where they visited: the "Corabia" floating bridge, the "Pasarela" suspension bridge, the Cistercian Monastery and had lunch at a local restaurant.
During the conference, we were invited to participate in a unique experience of
photography in a carefully recreated studio to bring to life the atmosphere specific to the years
1960. This is the partial reconstruction of the photo studio of the famous Salist photographer
Emil Mosoiu.
Also, during the conference, we were invited to participate in a course
calligraphy supported by librarian Daniela Comsea. This course gave us the opportunity to
discover and practice the art of beautiful writing in a relaxed and inspiring environment.
The participation of specialists in these conferences highlights the achievements of the profession and
evolution in the field, being beneficial for each participant in order to improve
professional.
